Same menu, different questions

Treatments for men

There is no separate menu here and no men's pricing. What is different is what gets asked for, how much movement people want to keep, and the fact that most men who book have been thinking about it for well over a year.

What is actually different

Male skin is measurably thicker, has more collagen and produces more oil, which changes the settings on almost every device and the dosing on injectables. Facial hair changes what a laser can do and where. And the aesthetic target is usually different: most men who come in want the tired look gone without anything looking done, which in practice means treating less than we would otherwise and reviewing more often.

That last point is the one worth saying plainly. Undertreating and reviewing at two weeks is easy. Overtreating a face that was aiming for nobody noticing is not fixable in the same afternoon.

Hair, which is most of it

More than half the men who book a first consultation here are asking about the hairline. The single thing that decides the outcome is how long it has been going on. Follicles that are still producing fine hair can be improved. A smooth scalp with nothing on it cannot, and we will tell you that in the first ten minutes rather than sell you a course.

The thinning hair page sets out the window properly, including when a transplant surgeon is the honest referral.

Beard and body hair

Laser on the neck for ingrown hairs is one of the most reliably satisfying things we do, and it does not have to mean losing the beard. We treat the area below a line you choose, and we mark it with you before the first session rather than after it. Back and shoulders take more sessions than most people expect, usually eight rather than six.

The chin and the flanks

Fat under the chin and along the flanks holds on in men in a way that has almost nothing to do with training. It is the commonest reason men book body contouring here, and the assessment is the same as anyone else's: within about seven kilos of a stable weight, a pocket you can hold, realistic percentages.

Where to start

Nobody is going to talk you into anything.

A fair number of these consultations end with us recommending one cheap thing, or nothing at all. That is not a sales technique, it is what happens when nobody is on commission.
