How it works
An array of fine insulated needles passes through the skin to a set depth, then delivers radiofrequency energy from the tips. The heat lands in the deeper layer where collagen remodelling happens while the surface takes far less of it, which is what allows a meaningful energy dose with only a few days of visible recovery. Depth is adjusted across the face, deeper along the jaw and shallower under the eyes.
Typical course
Three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, reviewed three months after the last.
Who it is not suitable for
Not used if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection or cold sore in the area, have a pacemaker or implanted electrical device, or have taken oral isotretinoin in the last six months.

Questions people ask
How visible is the recovery?
Day one looks like a strong sunburn. Days two and three show a fine grid of dots that makeup covers reasonably well. Most people book it for a Thursday and are back in the office on Monday.
Is it good for acne scarring?
It is one of the better options for rolling and boxcar scarring because it works on texture and on the tethering underneath at the same time. Ice pick scarring responds less well and may need a different approach.
Can it be used on darker skin?
Yes. Because the energy is delivered by needles rather than by light, it does not target pigment, which makes it one of the safer resurfacing options across skin tones. We still patch test and use conservative settings.
