How it works
Exosomes are tiny vesicles that cells use to send signals to one another, and the preparations used here are rich in growth related signalling molecules. The scalp is microneedled first to open a route through the skin barrier, then the preparation is applied and massaged in. The idea is to deliver a stronger signal to the follicles than topical products can reach.
Typical course
Three sessions two to four weeks apart, then every six months.
Who it is not suitable for
Not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over an active scalp infection or psoriasis flare, or with a history of keloid scarring. We will discuss the state of the evidence with you before you commit to a course.

Questions people ask
How strong is the evidence?
Weaker than for platelet treatment. It is an emerging area with promising early work and not much long term data. We will describe it that way rather than as a breakthrough, and if you want the better evidenced option first, that is the platelet route.
Why is it more expensive?
The preparation itself costs considerably more than processing your own blood. That is the whole difference, and it is worth knowing before you choose between them.
Can I do both?
Yes, and some people do, using the platelet treatment as the base and adding this. We will only suggest it where we think it adds something rather than as an upsell.
